What to Expect
First appointments take an hour to an hour and 45 minutes. Typically, appointments for young adults and children require less time. When you arrive, a member of our front-office staff will greet you and review your paperwork. For your convenience, our new patient forms are available online. To save time, download the forms, print them, complete the information, and bring them with you to your appointment. If you’d prefer to fill them out at our New Rochelle dental office, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. Once your paperwork is completed, we will escort you to a comfortable treatment room to meet Dr. Como. Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. We can assure you that you will be seen on time. If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please call us as soon as possible.
Your Exam
Your comprehensive exam will take about an hour. Your professional hygiene appointment, which will take an additional 45 minutes, can be booked at this time, as well. First and foremost, Dr. Como will spend time reviewing your medical history and discussing your personal needs. Then, he will conduct a thorough exam, including:
- a full set of digital X-rays (if required),
- an oral cancer screening,
- a head and neck exam,
- a soft-tissue inspection,
- and a tooth-by-tooth analysis.
After your exam, Dr. Como will present his findings and discuss treatment options, financial arrangements, and estimated time required to complete treatment. If you have any questions or concerns, they can be discussed at this time. Occasionally, for more involved cases, a follow-up consultation appointment may be required. Our administrative assistant will schedule any necessary follow-up visits.
Financial Arrangements
We request that services be paid in full at time of service. We accept cash, check, American Express, Visa, Discover, and MasterCard.
